Funky Fresh

Are you interested in graph designing? Do you take design and publishing? Do you enjoy designing websites and making logos?

If so - wicked.

To make this blog fun and interactive we are creating a competition for those who are interested. Every 4 months we want to change up the style and graphics of this blog. For this competition you guys will need to create a new title image and color scheme for the blog. Once you've completed it you can send it in and we will randomly pick one to publish. Remember, we want the site to look drastically different each time so get creative!
You can email your design to steph_gee03@hotmail.com and hopefully you'll get to see your creation on the site!

Let the games begin!

Thoughts?

Thoughts on a homecoming game and party?

That Prom Prom Prom Prom Prom

And so it was the big day. Prom.
It might just be one of the biggest deals ever.
We just wanted to say we thought everyone looked their absolute finest and hope it was a great time!
We hope the future FHCI proms are just as miraculous as yours was.
Big shout out to the special grade 11 dates!
Here are some pictures. Enjoy!

The Stock of the Hill

So,

Just like we promised - a cool school event is coming your way!

What: Hillstock
When: May 22nd (also known as the morning after prom) at 11:45p.m. until 3:20p.m.
Where: The backyard of the school
Who: Everyone
Why: Because it's awesome.

Pretty much Hillstock rocks because there is a free bbq, tons of good music (meaning a good dance session) and everyone signs everyone's yearbooks. The 6 of us along with the prefects will be running this event so come and join us.
(Berger might be the teacher you can dunk into freezing cold water) But you didn't hear that from us.

Come check it out! Hope to see you there

Mr. President

Hello my fellow forest hillers,

I'm Steven Conway and one could say I am FHCI's 2009/2010 student council president.

I have many leather bound books and my office smells of a rich mahogany.

I hope to never eat my desert alone like Steven Glansberg and if I ever have a grad party you are all welcome.

Speak to you soon,

Steven.

Social AIGHT

To: My brothers and sisters

Firstly, WE HAVE TO FIGHT, FOR THE RIGHT, TO PARTY!
Secondly, hey! how's it going? I hope you're rockin' and living the dream all at the same time.
So basically my job could not be cooler because I get to plan every event at our school that could potentially be the best time ever. If you don't know me, here's a bit you should know - My name is Stephanie Madeline Gee and I love to dance. I don't take classes but I could dance all day every day. Seriously. Ask someone. My favorite food is a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie. I'm good at planning events and I wear pink lipstick. Despite that I was not here in grade 9, I intend on making up for that year by partying hard with all of you. I want this year's semi-formal to kick last year's in the #@%*&  and I want to make some sort of spirit week. I can yell really loud and have an obscene amount of energy - so watch out. I'd also love a homecoming party to celebrate a massive football game, one act shows and a musical theatre night. All in all, everywhere we go and everything we do will be a wicked sweet party you won't want to miss out on.

So broskies, keep doing your thing but let us know what your thing is once a while. Comment back. This could be an exceptionally fun time.
Xoxo

Big Man on Campus

Hey guys!
My name is Cole Krensky and I am the first ever junior vice president at FHCI. Basically I couldn't be more like you guys which is exactly why I ran for this position. If you're sitting in class and think of a great idea for our school, come over and tell me. Most likely I'll agree with you, nod my head expect then I can pass these ideas along to people who can do something about it! It's pretty awesome. Oh also - yeah my brother is on student council too but we all know who the real Krensky is. I'm just kidding. Not really. But seriously - I'm better. No I'm just playing! Okay now that that has gotten repetitive...I think this blog is a great idea because it's simple and easy to get to, so comment on anything whenever.
On that note, true or false...I still carry a lunch box with me?
See ya later!

Z to the W

I have been called the King of the jungle and the Heavyweight champion of the world.

I’ve been told I was bigger than the Beatles when they were bigger than Jesus.

I once beat Jack Bauer, Mr. T, and Hercules at the same time in an arm wrestle using my only
left hand while painting an exact copy of the Sistine chapel ceiling with my right hand while riding a unicycle.

I taught Einstein everything he knew.

Don Corleone offered me a deal I could not refuse. I refused it. Then I offered him a deal he
couldn’t refuse. He immediately accepted.

I set the luge speed record without a board wearing only a headband and flip flops. I came away unscathed.

I donated my right foot to Pele. I then quickly re-grew a far superior foot.
Rolling Stones Magazine rated my rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ the greatest song of all time. While my rendition of ‘Have a Happy Happy Anniversary’ place a disappointing 4th.

All James Bond, Rambo, and Clint Eastwood movies are based on my years as a toddler.
The Dos Equis World’s Most Interesting Man is also an under-exaggerated account of my first day in school.

I shower in Niagara Falls every morning. I follow up this tradition by drying my hair with an airplane engine.

I have graduated from every Ivy League school in America.

I once climbed Mount Everest without any equipment in a record two and a half hours.
My shirpa couldn’t handle the climb so I carried him on my back the whole way.

I taught the Pope how to speak Latin.

As swimming in water is too easy I swim in lakes of lava.

Vibe magazine has named me the best rapper alive and I don’t even rap.

I invented horseback riding.

The movie 300 was based on my time in the womb. Except there was only one of me and millions of them and I won.

I kicked Chuck Norris in the face, the result, his beard.

I created Adam with my rib.

I sweat pure gold and bleed fire hotter than 1 000 suns.

I out golfed Tiger Woods at his best using a twisty straw as my only club and a marble as my ball.

I am more powerful than the Tsar Bomba
I beat Usain Bolt’s 100 meter dash record while dragging the Swedish competitive tanning team on my back.

I am Zach Wortzman and I am your Vice President.

Dolla Dolla Bills Ya'll

Hey everyone,
I'm Arielle Bensimon and I am FHCI's secretary/treasurer for 2009/2010. In all honestly my job is pretty much point blank - I calculate our school's money and take notes during meetings and school events. Pretty neat. But I decided that I want to change it up. Let's do something to put our money where we want it. I'm thinking an over the top United Way Week with way more food and prizes. I think we should also participate in more charities and give more donations like canned food and books. This is why this blog is so convienent. We can all talk about what we like, what we don't and what we'd love to have at school (and it's free! haha sorry I just had to make some sort of money joke).
Some facts about me:
1. I eat a turkey sandwich everyday for lunch
2. I'm secretly good with computers
3. I was the stage manager for Sweet Charity
4. I love media class
5. I love making new friends
Okay,
Bye!

Time Out

Hold up.

Who is our new sports rep?
Yup. That's right. It's me. Charlie Krensky.
Despite the tough competition, I could not be prouder to be our school's sports rep and I will be at every sporting event ever. You guys should come too - I bet they'll be a good time.
If any members of any sports teams have some ideas for games, buy outs or anything else let me know and I'll hook you guys up - just comment back here on the blog
Alright I gotta go work on my lay-ups slash my english culminating but same thing!
Peace out!

Welcome!

Hey Forest Hill Collegiate! What's up?

We'll tell you what's up. This right here is the first official FHCI Student Council Blog to promote our school's 2009/2019 student council. This blog gives the 6 of us the opportunity to inform you guys on our student council positions and our ideas to make your years of high a ridiculously good time. This blog enables us to notify students on upcoming school affairs and opportunities but most importantly it allows us to connect with all of you. By updating the blog weekly with new hot topics we want you guys to comment back with feedback and ideas. Each month we will feature other FHCI student run departments and clubs so do not hesitate to send us some info you want us to post.
